The Hybridized Professional – March 2016 Blog Roundup!

April 1, 2016 by Babette Ten Haken Leave a Comment

The hybridized professional is taking center stage in business strategy. In case you haven’t noticed, corporate silos are beginning to get leaky. The digital commercial ecosystem is impacting strategy, management and workforce.

More people will interact with machines, generating more data that needs to be analyzed. It is no longer sufficient to leave knowledge management up to “somebody else.”

It is up to you to overcome your reluctance to deal with source data, rather than defaulting to infographics to communicate business ideas. It is up to you to reach out to your cross-functional colleagues and learn to think like them.

The need for hybridized professional skill sets is impacting every facet of how businesses are formed, subsequently modeled and fueled. Hybridized professional skillsets impact the current and future trajectory of your business. This phenomenon is especially true as we move into a new industrial revolution, catalyzed by none-other than the industrial internet of things.

I remain a holistic thinker and business strategist. All of these concepts have, and always will, flow together as one unifying principle for business strategy, management, innovation, implementation and corporate culture. I wrote a book about collaboration hacks catalyzing a hybridized business culture: Do YOU Mean Business? It remains as relevant today as it did when it originally was published. I suggest you read, or re-read, as part of your ongoing hybridized professional development strategy. Questions? Ask away. You know where to find me.

Review these March 2016 posts with that holistic perspective in mind. I am thinking you will stretch your brain a bit to wrap it around some of these concepts. That discomfort is a good thing. It means you are moving one millimeter outside your current level of comfort.

Continue to seek ideas that make you a bit uncomfortable. Ponder their implications for your business strategy and career strategy. You will find that thinking bigger will move you towards becoming the type of hybridized professional that tomorrow’s human capital strategy will be targeting.

I remain passionate about impacting economic development and recovery. I remain committed to catalyzing your professional development.
