IoT Collaboration Action Items! Blog Roundup 2016

November 25, 2016 by Babette Ten Haken Leave a Comment

IoT CollaborationIoT collaboration is the key to business growth, expansion and sustainability. The Internet of Things is ubiquitous, connecting all of us. Connecting our processes, mindset, software and equipment as well.

Throughout 2016, I offer a monthly blog post roundup of featured posts from the award-winning Sales Aerobics for Engineers® blog. As you review our journey together this year, consider how far we have traveled. And how far we need to go to develop collaborative communities working together for the benefit of our customers’ well-being.

Consider the collaborative role you can play in your organization.

How has IoT collaboration impacted how you work, locate resources and make decisions? What can you do, as a business professional of worth, to enhance engagement with colleagues not only within your professional discipline, but outside of your discipline as well?

Ponder your IoT collaboration skills.

What are the skills you and your colleagues will need in order to make sense out of the continuous data tsunami which doesn’t seem to have a shutoff valve? Within your organization, who can mentor you to gain a greater understanding about data and how to analyze it? How can you apply predictive analytics to create an intelligent, insights-driven work environment?

Then, chart your IoT collaboration course.

What role can you play to catalyze cross-functional collaboration in the workplace? Even if that thought is daunting and the folks in “those” disciplines are intimidating. Sometimes all that is needed is a question asked which needs an answer. You will find “those” folks are just as anxious and delighted to communicate and collaborate with you, as you are with them.

Finally, enjoy these posts.

Hopefully you are re-reading them. First time readers: welcome aboard! Let me know what you think. Tell me how these thoughts have impacted how you work. Incorporate these ideas into your career trajectory.

Best wishes,

Babette
