As we wind down this incredibly eventful 2016, you’ve made a list of things to do in 2017. Checking off items from your To Do List accomplishes just what?
There’s a big difference, professionally, between executing a To Do list and executing your professional strategy.
Executing professional strategy starts with just that: a professional strategy.
A professional strategy is a roadmap from Here to There. And Beyond There.
Generating a To Do list without taking the time to work on your professional strategy is just a lot of busy-ness and busy work.
A professional strategy brings clarity to business and organizational chaos and catalyzes your understanding of the value of your contributions.
Does that description sound like a To Do List?
Take a look at all the To Do Lists that remain on your desk.
I’m hoping that the bulk of your unfinished business concerns charitable giving to causes you feel strongly about. Time to address that Charitable Giving To Do List. Today.
Then take a breather. Ponder your professional strategy. Your own professional strategy. Not your organization’s KPIs which have been doled out to you (imposed upon you?), once again.
You bring a lot of value to your customers’ tables.
During 2017, I’ll help you capture, define and execute a professional strategy that’s value-based without over-promising. Are you with me?
Our focus? Executing professional strategy for customer retention, workforce hiring and team building. Especially if you live in the relentlessly fast paced industrial Internet of Things ecosystem.
I have created a program of engaging, valuable and actionable strategies for the New Year.
I can’t wait to share them with you on this blog! I’m looking forward to speaking to your professional organizations about delivering on these strategies. I will catalyze you, your teams and your organizations to deploy them!
This is my final post for 2016. I’ll return on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 with Big Ideas for executing professional strategy in 2017.
Until then, thank you for being part of the Sales Aerobics for Engineers® Blog community, online and offline. I’ve enjoyed working with you this year.
