These 5 little One Millimeter Mindset™ workplace collaboration blog posts wrap your brain around the notion that collaboration no longer is a “nice to have” soft skill. You know. An occasional behavior we put into play every now-and-then, when we feel like it. But, most of the time, ignore.
Workplace collaboration is a professional development and innovation strategy.
Because true workplace collaboration is not all about smiling at everyone, saying please and then scurrying away to stick with the peeps who make us the most comfortable. (Usually the folks within our own professional discipline).
The real-deal form of collaboration is about making hard calls. Together. And learning how to weigh variables and create options and present ideas. Even when we work with people who are more or less educated than we are. Or, who are way above – or below – our pay grade or who may be hourly-wage workers. Including the folks working in professional disciplines we currently know nothing about. The colleagues who use words we do not understand, most of the time.
Ultimately, as we serve each other, better and better, we create better internal workplace collaboration experiences and outcomes.
And guess what? We end up serving our customers, better and better, as well. And creating remarkable customer-focused experiences.
