How do you rate your success in developing workforce value? Have you ever considered the value of storytelling as part of your workforce development strategy?
Storytelling is a great way to poke holes in silos of value, which often hide out throughout organizations. When our co-created stories help the workforce better appreciate how what they “do” is connected to what everyone else “does,” everyone gains a greater sense of purpose and value.
Storytelling connects people across job titles, pay grades, levels of education, departmental silos and generations. After all, our stories have been with us since the beginning of time. Story is how “we” connect ourselves to “them” and discover what we have in common, rather than what separates us.
Today, I offer you four blog posts on developing workforce value through storytelling.
Reconnect co-workers who feel disconnected, marginalized and intimidated by professional behavior and existing business models. Discover how solving problems differently leads to a more robust, yet flexible, perspective which retains both employees and clients.
And, ponder the overall relevance of developing workforce value through storytelling as part of your organization’s human capital strategy. Then, take the next steps and take action. Put storytelling into play, moving forward.
