Some days, attaining our February 2021 professional goals feel like running a continuous marathon race, don’t they? Because the finish line seems to move further away, the closer we get.
It is time to chunk your February professional goals into smaller, more feasible, and challengingly achievable accomplishments. Get to where you really need to go together. One millimeter at a time.
Less really does accomplish more, especially when you leverage your professional purpose to build trust. Keep these professional goals, and these three blog posts, in mind. Especially if your professional context feels like it is continuously shifting. And you react and chase merely to try to keep up with what is new and next. Remaining in this reactive mode is exhausting, isn’t it? Consider that today is the best time to reset your professional energy and pace. You are more than overdue to recalibrate your professional worth.
First, today may be the best time to target new jobs. Or create a more hybridized career with your current employer. Then again, how about seeking clients for whom your purpose is exquisitely well-suited. Why? Because your professional innovation leverages a better-architected and articulated professional value proposition. One which you wear like a second skin, because it truly reflects who you are as a professional of worth. Is this where your mindset and skillsets currently reside?
Take heart. Go for small changes that add up to have a big impact on getting everyone to where they really need to go. Together. One millimeter at a time.
These three One Millimeter Mindset® February professional goals blog posts feature three areas to focus on to run your professional marathon.
The first post, Leverage The Anatomy of No To Push Projects Forward, discusses how to move beyond seeking consensus and group-think, to have collaborative conversations that matter most.
Then, the next post, Create More Value By Speaking Less Professional Jargon, addresses how to limit over-use of terminology which reduces collaboration and innovation.
Finally, Why Your Professional Core Capabilities Limit Your Value, examines how our professional accomplishments can hold us back from moving towards where we really need to be going.
